A native of Washington County, I was blessed to attend Mt. Gilead as a child, know the congregation, and love the message of Christ and His finished work. The love of Christ and the love demonstrated by the membership had a tremendous impact on my life. While attending college, I felt that God had called me to the ministry. Upon completing my college degree, I was ordained to the ministry on July 24,1982. I pastored and ministered to churches in southwest Georgia during my early years of ministry. I was called to be the pastor of Mt. Gilead in June 1988, and I have delighted in serving the Lord and serving Mt. Gilead in this capacity. My wife, Anne, and I are blessed with three grown children, two fine sons-in-law, and five grandchildren
